My Wild Roots
Nature has always fascinated me. As a child I spent hours rock pooling and looking for beach treasures on family holidays, creating perfumes from flower petals in the garden and catching moth friends, wondering why I was covered in dust…
Throughout my life I have always had a calling to support positive change having spent a large part of my working life as a fundraiser organising community events. Something new was calling me and in my early 30’s I took a leap of faith, and retrained in Environmental Conservation. I became more and more awe struck by the wonders of the natural world.
Life throws us challenges, it’s part of the journey, a gentle acceptable of the balance of light and shadows. In those darker moments I walked in nature until my busy mind slowed down, noticing natures offerings, finding calm restoring parts of myself through connection. I felt I had discovered a gift and as I explored nature connection I found the practise of Forest Bathing. So, I embarked on my journey to train as a foresting bathing guide, to deepen my kinship with the natural world and to share this beautiful wellness practise with others.
My Wild Wonder
I believe nature accepts us, exactly as we are, there is no need to be anything other than our true selves- it’s comforting, trusting and gives me a true sense of belonging.
I’m curious, astonished and grateful to the offerings that nature shares so freely, here are some of my favourites…
A simple joy: Morning sunrises
A scent that feels like home: The ocean
A sound that stops me in my tracks: Skylarks singing overhead
Weather I secretly love: Fierce wind
Tree I feel most at home with: A wise Oak
A small ritual I love: The dancing light and shadows of a bonfire
Awestruck moment: When the starling murmurations return for autumn
You’ll often finding me: Marvelling at fungi
My pockets are usually full of: Nature treasures
A tiny detail that catches my eye: Spider webs dancing in the light
A texture I’m drawn to: Moss
When I need to reconnect: I close my eyes
My Wild Vision
To offer welcoming, supportive spaces where people can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves through nature. I aim to create experiences that nurture a genuine sense of belonging—to yourself, to the natural world, and to something beyond the pace of everyday life.
Through gentle guidance, I invite moments of stillness, awareness, and curiosity that help people rediscover their innate connection with nature and, in turn, deepen their understanding of themselves.
My intention is to hold spaces that feel inclusive, non-judgemental, and grounding—whether someone joins alone or as part of a group.
Above all, I hope to create moments of wonder, playfulness, and quiet wisdom that leave people feeling more connected, balanced, and free.
Invitation to Poetry Play- write a simple poem about your observations of the natural world…
I come to you for sancturary,
I place where I am fully me,
You always share your wonder and delight,
From ground to canopy, flow or flight,
You hold space for me, come rain or shine,
A sacred place, comforting, divine,
Oh, how sweet life can be,
I hold such gratitude for welcoming me.
Why don’t you give it a try? Find a quiet spot, perhaps in your garden or favourite nature space, take a few deep breathes and let the words flow.
